The mission of the City of Kingsport is to provide economic, educational, and quality-of-life opportunities that create a safe, vibrant, and diverse community.

Kingsport Cultural Arts, a department of the City of Kingsport, connects, coordinates, and engages the public with a creative community.

Kingsport Cultural Arts:

  • Manages cultural spaces including room/event reservations at the Renaissance Center, Farmers Market, and Carousel facilities.
  • Provides administrative support to Kingsport Public Art programs.
  • Stimulates community engagement and economic development through the arts, including managing an annual performing arts series and presenting festivals such as the Christmas Connection and the Carousel Fine Craft Show.

  • Where can I get tickets to a Kingsport Theatre Guild production?
    You may order advance tickets on the KTG website.
  • What is the difference between a private and non-private party at the Carousel?
    A private party is for more than 20 guests, and the doors will be closed to the public. A non-private party is for up to 20 guests, with the Carousel remaining open to the public during the party. For more information, visit our Carousel page.
  • How much does it cost to ride the carousel?
    Rides are $1/token. 1 token required per ride.
  • How much does it cost to book a party at the Carousel?
    $200 for a 2-hr private party (after hours). $100 for a 2-hr non-private party during public hours. For more information visit our Carousel page.
  • How do I become a vendor at the Farmers Market?
    To become a vendor, please visit the Kingsport Farmers Market website.
  • How can I pay my Senior Center membership?
    Please call the Senior Center office at 423-392-8400. They are located on the first floor of the Kingsport Renaissance Center.
  • How can I book a rental?

  • Do infants require a token to ride the Carousel?
    Yes, each person needs a $1 token to ride. Children under 42 inches tall must be accompanied by a paying adult.
