Aluminum Jewelry

September 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Learn to bend, manipulate, hammer, and finish your own aluminum jewelry in this beginner workshop!

Aluminum is a lightweight, malleable metal which does not discolor or tarnish the way that other metals do. In this class, students will learn about the advantages of aluminum as well as its limits, and will leave with several finished pieces of jewelry!

Each student will get to decide what kind(s) of jewelry they would like to make: earrings, bracelets, and/or necklaces.

Age 10+ (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)

General Admission will be available on August 12th after 5 pm; to get early access to all remaining 2024 workshops click here.

Local artist Linore Huss has always been adventurous and creative. From general arts and folk dance to fiber and jewelry to ceramics and metalsmithing, Linore loves to explore new mediums, and the world around her is always an opportunity to find new shapes and textures. She encourages her students to show creativity in every process, and loves when they teach her something new as they come in with open eyes and minds.

Linore graduated with a BFA in Metalsmithing and Ceramics in 2018 and has since spent time as the Head of Metals and Glass at Camp Matoaka in Maine, Metals Studio Assistant at Arrowmont, and a ceramics and jewelry teacher for kids and adults in the Tri-Cities area.
